So ShareFS works sometimes/occasionaly?
ShareFS works with the same frequency that VRPC would have started up prior to the unlock fix, which is not very often.

What happens when ShareFS doesn't start? Are there any error messages?
There are no error messages either from RISC OS or from the iMac. All that happens is that only the local shares are seen in VRPC's ShareFS 'Show discs' window and the iMac/VRPC shares are not seen in the Iyonix or other machines.

Does Internet access still work on the VirtualRPC when ShareFS doesn't?
Yes

Have you reversed the changes you made to the Mac when trying to get VRPC running yourself?
I had previously tried a few things that did permit VRPC to start before the fix was issued. One of these involved removing network interfaces that were not required, though that worked in that VRPC always started it also had a side effect that ShareFS did not work, as it was something of a failure the iMac was put back to as it was.
Prior to any of this I have had rare instances of ShareFS not working, rebooting everything got it back.
