I am a little behind the curve (still using the Beta) but in the spirit of Beta testing (!) I'm pleased to report that the following setup works well and quite fast:
Print 'direct' from VRPC to hp LaserJet 3030 (USB cable) using PoScrip2 generic Postscript Printer Definition File to Connection HostFS::HP_LaserJet_3030. Set up entirely as per your 'HTML' instructions from the Acorn side. (no amendments/CUPS changes etc on OS X 10.5.2 -side - Mac Plug and Play)
Print seems to work flawlessly. For example a letter using a custom font (based on a scan of my own signature) works fine as does a sample of Mackintosh (Electronic Font Foundry) which I presume is not a standard Postscript font! Draw file embedded in Ovation also works fine. Font outlines and drawing curves are all smooth even when magnified.
