I've tried running x-files application found in the filing directory but it doesn't install an icon on the taskbar and when I double click on the Sf3000 file it tells me it can't unpack it because the header is invalid.

I have SparkFS installed which I believe should be able to able to read it but it just gives an error.

This is a vanilla install with nothing changed.

Any ideas?

I have just tested it here with no problems. I just double clicked on the SF3K X-files archive and it opened.

There is a copy of X-files that runs on VirtualRPC inside '!Rworld.Utilities'. X-Files doesn't install an icon on the iconbar so I wouldn't expect to see one :)

Looks like the problem is to do with me having to use a HostFS share to be able to see my CD-Rom drive (ASPI & ATAPI both give no cd rom in drive errors) once I was able to set the correct filetype (b23) the archive opened perfectly and installed.
