 Post subject: VRPC & Microsoft Security Essentials

Have used ESET Nod32 antivirus since before VA.
I recently downloaded MSE. VA became unresponsive, mouse pointer freezing, failure to startup as normal.
When I disabled MSE VA was restored to normal.

Is there a way that I can run VA AND MSE or do I have to disable MSE every time I wish to use VA?

Yes, however if VRPC became unresponsive that would tend to indicate that the MSE is hogging resources - I still recommend users run AVG :D

Anyway increasing the VirtualRPC processor priority should help:
