Hi

Serial number 730561-ADJ

I've just tried to install the HostFS update. On rebooting, the machine got to the desktop but the backdrop was not there. Looking in some of the folders I find a lot of files are listed as 'text'. Have now reverted to my backup VA until I find out what's gone wrong.

Hmm. With VRPC running in a Window go to the Tools menu along the top and click on Options. Now open the HostFS Extensions tab. Are the extensions all present? If not copy then over from a backup. The extensions file is:

C:\Program Files\VirtualAcorn\VirtualRPC-AdjustSA\plugins\hostfs2\extensions.txt

Did the update again with the same result.

Checked to see if 'extensions.txt' file had been altered but seems ok. Now on looking into some of the folders again some file are listed as text. On looking closer files with dos extensions ie pic/jpg, pic2/png or index/html seem to have been altered but not every one. Now ones without a extention like 'selection' which in this case was an html file remained ok.

I have a folder named 'backdrop', in it there are three jpeg files. If I view this folder from the windows side they are listed as 'aircraft.jpg,c85 - aircraft2.jpeg -aircraftBlk.jpg,c85'. Note one of these files does not include c85 at the end. I think this file was listed as 'text' when I did the update. Could this be what's going wrong.
