Hi.
In the user manual it states there are a large number of mappings built in.
There does not seem to be any listed in my HostFS Extensions window, where can they be found.

Ooer. If there are none listed in the Tools-Options-Hostfs Extensions window, then you'll get a "Can't find essential file" error at VirtualRPC start-up.
However, if you want to check the file is physically present, have a look in Windows for C:\Program Files\VirtualAcorn\Virtual RPC-SA\Plugins\HostFS2\extensions
This is a simple text file which contains the, er, extensions. HTH.

Found the file ok but is seems not to contain any file extentions, see below.
# Mappings from RISC OS extensions to Windows extensions
# The first Windows extension is the default when creating
# new files from RISC OS
Type Extensions
Is there any way to re-install them.

Proably the "quickest" way to repair the problem would be to install another copy of VRPC somewhere else on the harddisc. Then copy the HostFS extensions from this new one into the old one. Then just delete the new one.
