I have made (another) pig's ear of using VRPC on Vista. For non-VRPC reasons I had to re-install Vista.
I now find WinClip 0.22 cannot find VAclipboard.dll, the error says to put this in the same directory as the .EXE which is where it is. It worked just fine before the re-install.
I am stuck, can anyone shed any light.

First things first. Having re-installed Vista have you followed the instructions here:
http://www.virtualacorn.co.uk/support/a ... /index.htm
about turning off User Account Control? If not then you need to do so. If that doesn't fix it then I can only suggest e-mailing the Winclip author directly.

UAC was turned off and VRPC was run as administrator.
I tried turning UAC on and would you believe it WinClip leapt into life.
So far I have found no downside to UAC being on as far as VRPC is concerned.
It is all very odd, something is inside out somewhere.
Off topic, but as I am here, two minor items I have fixed here :-
1. The Path BootMerge: is not set in !BootMerge.
2. I have had VRPC for a few months now and only just noticed the SA Model is called StongARM.

If you look at my Sept 2008 posting VAClipboard.dll not found, you'll see the method I used to sort this problem.

Regardless of UAC being OFF the problem continued until I ran VRPC in XP SP2 compatibility mode.
