I get a privilege problem when close Virtual Acorn (e.g. when select Shutdown | Off). Get the Microsoft error message "???OS Adjust has encountered a problem and needs to close???".
If give user (local) Administrator privilege then there is no problem.
Without administrator privilege problem always occurs.
(Initially installed with a different user.)
I have noticed that On close three files are written to on our system:
"cmos.ram", "HostMounts,fff" and "mtrmgr.log". These are still all written to.
Clearly it would be nice to give a sufficient more privilege to avoid this problem. Have you any ideas?

Well VirtualAcorn does certain things with the hardware particularly CD Drives so Admin privileges maybe advisable... However if you rarely load anything from an 'Acorn Format' CD then to get round your problem and run VirtualAcorn from a 'Restricted User' Account you need to navigate within Windows to C:\Program Files\VA (or whatever the Virtual Acorn folder is within Program Files anyway) and change the file permissions to 'Everyone' - Full Control. You may have to 'turn off' 'Use Simple File Sharing' in Windows Explorer.
