Finally managed to stop the 'ShareFS is not fully initialised' error box being displayed. Now I get a 'File 'Share' not found' error. I do not want to do file sharing! How do I deal with that?

Probably:

Open the AccessSet obey file in !Boot.Choices.Boot.Tasks and REM out the final line so that it reads |Share HostFS::HardDisc4.$.Public and re-save the Obey file.

Access the !Boot > Configuration > Network > ShareFS option, UNtick the Enable ShareFS box and click on Set.

Press F12 and type unplug sharefs <Enter>

(It's spelt out in more detail on p34 of the 'VirtualRPC In Use' e-booklet; see the VirtualAcorn Home page.)

Many thanks. The first part solved my problem.

I've got a paper copy of 'VirtualRPC in Use' but the file 'path' on page 34 is not correct!

Both are correct. To clarify the differences:

The file path in my previous post is for your own RISC OS 4.02 installation, i.e. VirtualRPC-SA (and also for VirtualRPC-SE).

The different path given on p34 of the booklet assumes a 'Single-user' running RISC OS 4.39, i.e. VirtualRPC-AdjustSA as mentioned at the top of the page (also applicable to VirtualRPC-Adjust).
