Have I missed something?

When I installed VRPC-SE, it started up with the usual !Boot sequence found on the 'harddisc4'.

But this time, after installing VRPC-SA, I get the RiscOS desktop with no 'harddisc4' and hence no !Boot sequence.

After that, it will not do much, except run the ROM apps :(

Post edited to say that the Networking seems OK - I can see the discs on my A410 :) - and also the CD

I've seen this happen on a couple of machines now. A component is missing from the Windows.System32
folder. The missing component is msvcp71.dll. This is present on 99.99% of machines, but just recently some machines don't seem to have it.

You should be angle to find a copy via Google - if not I will post it somewhere.

OK, thanks.

That sorted it. :D

Found a copy on the PC I am using here. :)

Found this quote using google.
The thing is, msvcp71.dll is not a part of any framework, but rather it's supposed to be built and shipped along with the application that is designed to rely on this external .dll instead of having its code incorporated into it internally). But it's so common that many products are shipped without it.

The laptop I am using for VRPC-SA is a rebuild of WinXP SP3 with no other apps on it.

Thanks. The next batch of VRPC CDs will include this dll - it's already in the build system.
